James W. Comstock

Co-Founder | Principal

Major General James Comstock US Army Retired is a Co-founder & Principal of Veracor Group, LLC and the Veracor family of companies.

His active duty career assignments included the 82nd Airborne Division, 1st Cavalry Division in the Republic of Vietnam then as a Ranger Instructor at Ft. Benning GA. Major General Comstock served in a variety of positions in the Army Reserve to include US Central Command’s Reserve Component Advisor/Deputy J3. He served as the Commander 3d COSCOM, Deputy Commander and Commander Task Force 21 during the 1996 Operations Joint Endeavor mobilization. He served as Commanding General of the 311th Corp Support Command (COSCOM).  Prior to these assignments he served in a variety of positions with the 11th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces. Major General Comstock’s initial USAR assignment was a a Company Commander, Co. C, 1st BN, 423rd Regiment 3rd BDE (AIT) 70th Division (TNG).

His education includes Bachelors of Arts degree in marketing from Michigan State University and a Masters of Arts degree in National Security Studies from Cal State University.

His military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Course, Airborne School, Ranger School, Jungle Operations School, Special Forces Operations Course, Command and General Staff College, National Security Management Course, and the Army War College.

Major General Comstock’s awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star with “V” device with two oak leaf clusters. Combat Infantryman  Badge, Special Forces Tab, Ranger Tab, and the Parachutist Badge.

In 2009 he was inducted into the Michigan State University Army ROTC Hall of Fame.

In addition, he has over 40 years of experience in the insurance, investment and business consulting professions include being a regional and national sales manager in the areas of pensions, equities, life insurance, annuities, and group insurance. He served as a partner in a brokerage organization and managed his own full-service insurance operation. He has consulted in the areas of institutional investments, medical and health products, and defense related issues and items.

He is very active in the community and serves a variety of roles in veteran related organizations.

John E. Redfearn III

Co-founder | Principal

Lt Colonel of Aviation John E. Redfearn III, US Army Retired is the founding member of Veracor Group and sets the bar high with a lifetime of success, leadership, strategic planning & execution experience.

His lifetime accomplishments are divided into two incredible careers. First as US Army Lt Colonel of Aviation, having served as a combat arms officer who’s highly decorated career spanned two decades from May 1973 to June 1995 with his last duty as Commander of an Apache Attack Helicopter Battalion (3rd Battalion, 1st Aviation Regiment.) John is a pilot of both fixed wing and helicopter aircraft. 

After leaving the military John entered the securities, insurance, investment and financial services industry as the V.P MAG Mutual Financial Services based in Atlanta, GA for 12 years. John was tasked with developing the financial services arm of MAG Mutual which serviced over 17,000 owner-insured physicians in GA and the 3 contiguous states.  He established and expanded this division with tremendous success having processed billions of dollars of transactions. 

John’s Education includes a Bachelors degree in foreign languages (German & Russian) and an MA in Guidance & Counseling from Citadel Charleston, SC. a Masters in Business Administration, he’s a graduate of US Army Command & General Staff College Fort Leavenworth, KS, and Graduate Armed Forces Staff College, National Defense University Norfolk, VA. 

John currently holds the following professional designations and certifications: (CFP) Certified Financial Planner, (CIC) Certified Insurance Counselor, (ChFC) Chartered Financial Consultant (CLU) Chartered Life Underwriter (MRFC) Master Registered Financial Consultant, (CAIP) Certified Aviation Insurance Professional (CSA) Certified Senior Advisors and (SPHR) Senior Professional of Human Resources.

FINRA Licenses. Series 6, 7, 24, 51, 63, 65 and is a general securities principal for Cape Securities – a Broker Dealer.

His dedication to helping others is reflected in his passion for teaching young adults about business. John has been an Adjunct Professor of Business for Central Texas College for the past 15 years.

As part of the Veracor family of companies John is the founding Principal and Managing Partner of Fiduciary Solutions Financial Services, Inc; and Fiduciary Solutions Insurance Agency, LLC in Atlanta for the past 15 years.

Kenton Gray

A true pioneer and entrepreneur who’s inquisitive nature and thirst for knowledge and understanding of things seems to find him on the side of what’s possible vs what is.  Kenton brings strong executive leadership, expert knowledge and track record of execution and performance with more than 30 years of front line business expertise in alternative asset development and management.

Amongst Veracor’s three areas of focus Kenton leads Veracor’s subsidiary acquisition and development in heath care & bio-tech,  having previously been CEO & Co-founder of one of the premier Medical Centers in Beverly Hills, driving innovations in pain management, regenerative medicine and anti-aging bringing together cutting edge biotech, innovators, ecosystem partners and stakeholders to form partnerships having substantial, positive impact in the ever evolving healthcare sector.

Education: Majored in Marketing and Finance, with a music minor.  Specialty education in:  Business management & administration, accounting, corporate law, financial services, securities, private equity and communications, technology, healthcare & bio-technologies etc.

Kenton focuses on specific growth initiatives including efforts to democratize and broaden the availability of Veracor’s investments initiatives to empower every day investors. 

Larry Yager

For over 10 years he has served in practically every role within a FINRA registered Broker-Dealer ranging from front line supervision of hundreds of Registered Representatives nationwide to the CEO’s chair for two Broker-Dealers. Much of his time has been devoted to on-site evaluation of so-called alternative product offerings, deciding which were viable for customers and which were not.

Robert McCarthy

Robert McCarthy is the Chief Investment Officer of Veracor. Where he aster Sergeant U.S. Army (Retired) Airborne Infantry, Larry is a well-regarded leader. For over 10 years he has served in practically every role within a FINRA registered Broker-Dealer ranging from front line supervision of hundreds of Registered Representatives nationwide to the CEO’s chair for two Broker-Dealers. Much of his time has been devoted to on-site evaluation of so-called alternative product offerings, deciding which were viable for customers and which were not.

Robert McCarthy is the Chief Investment officer of Veracor. Where he provides senior leadership within the firm and helps oversee all client capital raise engagements. Mr. McCarthy has over 34 years of experience providing financial and strategic advice to a full range of clients, including entrepreneurs, startup companies, large corporations, governments, family businesses and
private equity funds. Mr. McCarthy has been affiliated with some of the leading institutions in the world, and his experience ranges from representing the owners in the sale of a small, private U.S. company for $10 million to representing the special committee of a large, company negotiated management buyouts with a highly complex financial structures.
Mr. McCarthy has experience with the most sophisticated transactions, across a broad
range of industries and in a large number of jurisdictions, as the lead on a wide variety
of transactional and other advisory assignments, including domestic and joint ventures,
sales and divestitures, restructurings, special committee assignments, unsolicited
acquisitions and hostile defense.
Prior to working with Veracor., Mr. McCarthy worked successfully on a wide variety of
engagements in partnership with private money companies.
Mr. McCarthy graduated with a B.A. in communications from Northridge University in
1983, located in Los Angeles, California. 

Modesto Rodriguez

V.P. of operations

Over 40 years corporate experience in IT related industries like Electronics, Industrial Hardware Design and Computer Software, and in Consulting and Education.  Modesto has hold Executive positions in top European and US companies, like Hewlett Packard, Panda Software and Diskeeper Corporation (now Condusive Technologies).

As VP of International Operations with Panda Software International, created and run the international business of the company, expanding it in five years from zero to 48 countries. As CEO, and VP Expansion with Panda Software US, created and managed the areas of biggest expansion in the company that were instrumental to multiply by 5 the total revenues in 3 years.

Modesto is also a Public Speaker and Management Consultant that has traveled to more than 30 countries and helped business of all sizes in many different markets: Technology, Manufacturing Plants, Trading, Investment Banks, National Utilities, Business Services Organizations, Transportation Companies, Law Offices & Construction Companies.

Originally from Spain, Modesto holds a Bachelor in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and an MBA from the “Instituto de Empresa” of Madrid. Modesto currently lives with his family in Los Angeles.
